We have just launched the ATTRACT Showroom, a virtual platform which contains the most relevant information about each of the funded projects during phase 2. The showroom will serve as the central hub for all 36 funded projects: the 18 R&D&I projects in which researchers will have to consider how to advance the proofs-of-concept from phase 1 into something that is far closer to a marketable product and that generates new business for citizens.
It also contains the 10 Student Programs, a scale-up of the ‘Young innovators and entrepreneurs’ pilot from phase 1 that is running programmes for university students to generate ideas for social innovation inspired by the technologies developed within the R&D&I projects; and the eight Socioeconomic Studies which aim to gain new perspectives and enrich traditional impact metrics to evaluate the current process and outcomes of the ATTRACT or other ERI-IEs across its ecosystem, spinoffs, and research teams.
ATTRACT aims to establish a systematic framework to transform breakthrough technologies, developed for fundamental research purposes, into innovations that can provide added value to society.
