Air pollution is a rising global concern due to its long-term environmental and health impact. There are many sources of environmental pollution, some of which are related to human activities such as waste treatment, agriculture, traffic and industrial processing. In this regard, the SNIFFIRDRONE project focuses on monitoring pollution and odour in wastewater treatment plants, and its research team will present a workshop on environmental monitoring with drones this November 28 in Valencia, Spain.
The workshop, which is open to the public, will include the participation of experts from key organizations who will share their insights and also provide valuable perspectives on sensor technology, data analysis, and regulatory frameworks.
“By the end of this workshop, we will be able to understand the latest advancements in environmental monitoring as we will explore innovative approaches and technologies that are shaping the future of this field”,
explained Agustín Gutiérrez, Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona and coordinator of the SNIFFIRDRONE project.
SNIFFIRDRONE is an R&D&I project within the ATTRACT ecosystem which is coordinated by the University of Barcelona in partnership with Depuración de Aguas del Mediterráneo, Gas Sensing Solutions, Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia, the Lancaster University and SINTEF.
