AHEAD project: revolutionizing thermal control systems 970 545 ATTRACT Project phase 2

AHEAD (Advanced Heat Exchange Devices) is one of the 18 R&D&I projects that has received funding from ATTRACT phase 2 and aims to revolutionize thermal control systems – critical components of several high-performance devices like satellites and space rockets.

This project, which received around 2 million euros of funding, is part of a consortium of six partner organizations that will develop a new kind of 3D-printed pipe with temperature sensors and heating elements embedded inside, and its system will include an energy recovery device to power the embedded electronics and enables automatic, wireless data transfer.

It should be noted that the consortium, coordinated by CSEM, aims to bring its technology to the pre-industrial stage and make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
